With Hope We Carry On
Domestic Violence Prevention Training
The Family Justice Center of Ouachita Parish invites you to With Hope We Carry On, a half-day training focused on strengthening our community’s response to domestic violence through trauma-informed learning, community awareness, and prevention.
Specifically, the training will be facilitated by Kris Barney, a domestic violence survivor and founder of the Miranda Faith Memorial Foundation. Drawing from her personal story as well as her advocacy work, Kris helps professionals and community members better understand the realities of domestic violence. Furthermore, she will share actionable strategies to help recognize warning signs, support survivors, and ultimately strengthen coordinated community responses.
Therefore, whether you work in law enforcement, healthcare, education, the legal system, or social services—or if you simply want to make a difference in your community—this training offers valuable insight into preventing domestic violence and building a more informed, compassionate response.
